For
almost a year and a half, I have been privileged to have some
four-footed bed partners spend the night with me every night.
(My wife and I are old, and she sleeps in another bedroom.) I
don't know who they are, or even what they are (I have not yet
tried to pet them), but they come immediately after I get in bed.
It's like they are waiting for me. I can't see them and they don't
make any sound, but they have weight and body heat and like to
snuggle up against me.
When
my experiences started, about January 2003, the first one of my
friends to come was the little one that sleeps on my right side.
It would jump up on my bed and land near my face. Sometimes I'd
get a quick kiss on the cheek.
They have never frightened me. Two stay
on top of the bedspread, one on my left and one either on my right
or on my hip when I'm lying on my side. The third one always stays
at my right foot, under the cover (although he started out on
top like the others). He likes to chew on my big toe. He is very
gentle and his teeth are not real sharp. I can feel the fur on
his face and paws. After while he grows tired of doing that, then
usually goes on top of the cover and seems to be larger then!
I believe he is a dog or something besides a cat. I believe the
one on my left is an adult cat, as one time I could feel vibrations
from purring, but I couldn't hear a sound. The one on my right
seems to be fairly small and light weight.
The
only time I ever came close to being frightened was a short time
after my regular group started coming, and apparently they had
told their associates about our new arrangement, because one night
a bunch of new animals came and were tromping all over the bed.
One huge one walked along the left side of the bed, and it pressed
down under such weight that I had a difficult time remaining calm.
Another
time or two, there was an animal the size of a big dog that came
and acted like he wanted to become a regular, but he had such
a hot body that I couldn't stand it (this was in the summer).
I told him (using mental telepathy) not to come any more until
he learned how to create a cooler body. Apparently my communication
was successful, as he quit coming. More recently I've had a similar
predicament, only this one's problem was that he stunk so that
my breathing was affected. We're back to normal now, just my three
regulars.
From
scratches on the door going into the garage, I am sure [our house's
prior owners] had a pet - probably a cat. We have lived here for
almost 27 years. However, time is irrelevant for those living
in the spirit world.
I try to communicate with my friends using
mental telepathy, and I believe they are receiving from me, but
I'm not receiving from them. Over the years we've had cats and
dogs (my wife even used to own and operate a pet grooming shop),
but our last dog, a miniature Schnauzer, died many years ago.
However, she was MY dog. I love animals, and it breaks my heart
when they are mistreated.
Due to the nature of my experience, I
have told no one except my wife and oldest daughter, Cheryl. Cheryl
used to have a dog, Brandy, that died a number of years ago, and
she said she is pretty sure Brandy has visited her at night. I
used to tell Cheryl that Brandy had more love in one paw than
some people have in their whole being.
